This kit includes Manley's Severe Duty? exhaust valves, specifically designed for Chevrolet Small Block engines. These valves are crafted from XH-428 material, a substance that offers nearly double the ultimate tensile strength at 1500°F compared to common EV-8 materials. This makes them a strong choice for high-temperature gasoline engine applications where durability under stress is critical.
Manley has put these valves through rigorous fatigue testing. Under normal operation, valves can experience significant stress, especially when bouncing on the seat. These exhaust valves were tested at 40,000 psi and 1400°F, enduring up to 100 million cycles.
