This set includes eight Manley Extreme Duty pistons, designed for Chevy LT1 direct-injected engines. Each piston features a -10cc dish, a 4.00-inch stroke, and a 4.070-inch bore. These pistons are built for demanding applications where strength and reliability are paramount.
Manley uses domestic 2618 alloy forgings for these pistons, which are known for their superior strength and performance under high stress. The pistons come standard with chrome moly wrist pins, offering good durability. For even greater toughness, select part numbers can be upgraded to 9310 or Turbo Tuff/DLC alloys. The ring lands and grooves are machined to strict standards, which helps ensure a better seal from your piston rings, leading to more power. Manley's unique fixturing process allows them to machine the skirt and ring grooves in one operation, ensuring the ring grooves are perfectly square to the piston skirt. This attention to detail contributes to overall engine performance and longevity.
These pistons are a solid choice for serious engine builds. Keep in mind that these are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. Always refer to the manufacturer's installation instructions for proper assembly and break-in procedures.
