Starting with domestic 2618 alloy forgings, these Manley Platinum Series pistons are built for serious engine work in your Ford 4.6L or 5.4L 2v or 4v engine. If you're rebuilding the top end of your F-150, Mustang, or Super Duty, these pistons are a solid choice for improved performance and durability.
Manley uses proven cam and barrel skirt profiles that help generate power while also being gentle on your cylinder walls, reducing wear over time. The ring lands and grooves are machined to strict standards, which is critical for getting a good seal and making the most power from your engine. They also use tool steel wrist pins for added strength, and for some applications, offer upgrades to even tougher alloys. The unique fixturing Manley employs allows them to machine the skirt and ring grooves in one operation, ensuring they are perfectly square to each other for the best possible ring seal.
This set includes the pistons and tool steel wrist pins. Remember that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. Always refer to the manufacturer's installation instructions for proper fitment and assembly procedures.
