Manley Rotating Assembly, BBC 548 4.250 STROKE/4.530/-20cc

When you're building a serious big-block Chevrolet engine, starting with a well-matched rotating assembly is key. This Manley Performance rotating assembly is designed for the BBC 548ci platform, featuring a 4.250-inch stroke and a 4.530-inch bore with -20cc piston dish. It includes a robust 4340 forged steel crankshaft, strong 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods, and 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series pistons. This combination is built to handle significant power, making it a solid foundation for a high-performance engine build.

The crankshaft and H-beam connecting rods are forged from 4340 steel, a material known for its strength and durability under high stress. The connecting rods come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, with an option to upgrade to ARP 2000 cap screws for even greater strength. The Platinum Series pistons are also forged from 2618 aluminum, a common choice for high-performance applications due to its thermal expansion properties and strength. They come with premium chrome moly wrist pins, which are known for their hardness and wear resistance. This assembly is rated for up to 900 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740 bolts, and can handle up to 1,500 horsepower when equipped with the optional ARP 2000 cap screws.
