When you're building a serious BBC engine, starting with a well-matched rotating assembly is key. This Manley Performance kit gives you a 555 cubic inch rotating assembly designed for big-block Chevrolet engines, featuring a 4.250-inch stroke and a 4.560-inch bore with a -3cc piston dish. What you get in this package is a 4340 forged steel crankshaft, a set of 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods, and a set of 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series pistons. The pistons come with premium chrome moly wrist pins, and the connecting rods are equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, with an option to upgrade to ARP 2000 cap screws for even more strength.

This assembly is built to handle serious power. With the standard ARP 8740 cap screws on the rods, it's rated for up to 900 horsepower. If you opt for the ARP 2000 cap screws, this rotating assembly is capable of handling up to 1,500 horsepower, making it a solid choice for high-performance street or race applications. The 4340 forged steel construction for both the crankshaft and connecting rods means they are strong and durable, able to withstand the stresses of high RPM and significant cylinder pressures. The 2618 forged aluminum pistons are also well-suited for high-performance use, offering good thermal stability and strength.
