At its core is a 4340 forged steel crankshaft with a 4.250-inch stroke, paired with equally strong 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods. These rods come standard with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, a solid choice for builds up to 900 horsepower. For those pushing the limits even further, optional ARP 2000 cap screws are available, allowing this assembly to support up to 1,500 horsepower. The included 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series pistons are lightweight yet strong, featuring Premium Chrome Moly wrist pins for durability under stress. The -3cc dish volume on the pistons helps achieve specific compression ratios when paired with appropriate cylinder heads and head gaskets.
