When you're building a serious BBC engine, starting with a well-matched rotating assembly is key. This Manley Performance kit gives you a 555 cubic inch rotating assembly designed for big-block Chevrolet engines, featuring a 4.250-inch stroke and pistons with a 4.560-inch bore and +43cc volume. You get a 4340 forged steel crankshaft, 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods, and 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series pistons, all balanced and ready to go.
The components in this assembly are built for serious power. The 4340 forged steel crankshaft and H-beam connecting rods offer a strong foundation. The connecting rods come with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, but you have the option to upgrade to ARP 2000 cap screws for even more strength. The Platinum Series pistons are made from 2618 forged aluminum and include premium chrome moly wrist pins. This setup is rated for up to 900 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740 bolts, and can handle an impressive 1,500 horsepower when you opt for the ARP 2000 cap screws. This is a complete package for those looking to build a high-performance engine.
