Built from 4340 forged steel, the crankshaft in this Manley rotating assembly is designed for serious power. This BBC 565 kit features a 4.250-inch stroke and is designed to fit a 4.600-inch bore with a -3cc piston dish. It’s a well-built foundation for a high-performance big-block Chevrolet engine.
The connecting rods are also made from 4340 forged steel, featuring an H-beam design and coming standard with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws. If you're aiming for the upper limits of its capability, you can opt for ARP 2000 cap screws, which allow this assembly to handle up to 1,500 horsepower. The pistons are 2618 forged aluminum from Manley's Platinum Series, complete with premium chrome moly wrist pins for durability under stress.
This assembly is rated for 900 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740 bolts and can be upgraded to handle 1,500 horsepower with optional ARP 2000 bolts. Please note that this assembly is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It's a robust choice for builders looking to create a powerful engine for drag racing, street performance, or other demanding applications.
