If you're building a serious big-block Chevrolet (BBC) engine, a strong rotating assembly is the heart of the operation. This Manley Performance rotating assembly is designed for the 565 cubic inch displacement, featuring a 4.250 inch stroke and a 4.600 inch bore with -3cc dish pistons. It's a well-built foundation for a powerful engine build.
The crankshaft is forged from 4340 steel, giving it the strength needed to handle significant stress. Complementing the crank are 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods. These rods come standard with 7/16 inch ARP 8740 cap screws, but you can opt for ARP 2000 cap screws for even more strength. The pistons are Manley's Platinum Series, made from 2618 forged aluminum and include premium chrome moly wrist pins. This combination is designed for durability and performance under demanding conditions.
With the ARP 8740 cap screws, this assembly is rated for up to 900 horsepower. If you opt for the ARP 2000 cap screws, the assembly is capable of handling up to 1,500 horsepower. Please note that this assembly is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It's a solid choice for serious engine builders looking for a robust rotating assembly.
