It's designed for BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engines and features a 4.250-inch stroke, a 4.600-inch bore, and a -3cc piston dish. This combination is a popular choice for building a 565 cubic inch engine, offering a solid foundation for significant performance gains.
The H-beam connecting rods are also forged from 4340 steel and come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws. If you're aiming for the upper limits of its capability, you can opt for ARP 2000 cap screws, which allow this assembly to handle up to 1,500 horsepower. Forged from 2618 aluminum, the Platinum Series pistons include premium chrome moly wrist pins, ensuring durability under high stress. This assembly is rated for 900 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740 screws.
