If you're building a high-performance Big Block Chevy engine and aiming for serious power, a robust rotating assembly is the heart of your build. This Manley rotating assembly is designed for the 565 cubic inch displacement, featuring a 4.250-inch stroke and 4.600-inch bore with a +43cc piston dish. It's engineered to handle significant horsepower, making it a solid foundation for a powerful street or race engine.
At its core is a 4340 forged steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and durability under high stress. Paired with this are 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods. These rods come standard with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, capable of supporting up to 900 horsepower. For those pushing the limits further, an upgrade to optional ARP 2000 cap screws is available, allowing this assembly to handle up to 1,500 horsepower. The pistons are Manley's Platinum Series, made from 2618 forged aluminum and include premium chrome moly wrist pins, ensuring they can withstand the demands of high compression and combustion pressures.
