If you're building a serious BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engine, this Manley rotating assembly is a solid foundation. This particular kit is designed for a 565 cubic inch displacement, featuring a 4.250 inch stroke crankshaft and 4.600 inch bore with a +43cc piston dish. It’s a well-built package aimed at performance builds where strength and reliability are paramount.
At the heart of this assembly is a 4340 forged steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and ability to handle significant stress. Paired with this are 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods. These rods come standard with 7/16? ARP 8740 cap screws, a popular choice for many performance builds, but can be optioned with ARP 2000 cap screws for even greater strength, allowing for horsepower ranges up to 1,500 HP. The pistons are 2618 forged aluminum from Manley's Platinum Series, complete with Premium Chrome Moly wrist pins, designed to work with the specified bore and piston dish for your desired compression ratio.
This assembly is rated for up to 900 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740 bolts, and up to 1,500 horsepower when upgraded to ARP 2000 cap screws. Please note that this assembly is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It's a robust option for those looking to push the limits of their BBC engine.
