This Manley rotating assembly includes a 4340 forged steel crankshaft, 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods with 7/16? ARP 8740 cap screws, and 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series pistons with Premium Chrome Moly wrist pins. This is a well-built package designed for serious BBC engine builds.
The crankshaft is forged from 4340 steel, a strong material commonly used for performance applications. The H-beam connecting rods are also forged from 4340 steel and come equipped with 7/16? ARP 8740 cap screws. For those pushing the limits, optional ARP 2000 cap screws are available, which can support higher horsepower levels. The pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its strength and thermal expansion properties, and they come with premium chrome moly wrist pins.
This assembly is rated for up to 900 horsepower when using the standard ARP 8740 cap screws. If you opt for the ARP 2000 cap screws, this rotating assembly can handle up to 1,500 horsepower. Please note that this assembly is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It also carries a Prop 65 warning.
