This particular BBC 615 assembly is designed for a 4.625-inch stroke and a 4.600-inch bore, with a +43cc piston dish, making it a popular configuration for many performance builds.
At the heart of this assembly is a 4340 forged steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and durability under high stress. Paired with it are 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods. These rods come standard with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, which are rated for up to 900 horsepower. If your build is pushing the limits even further, you can opt for ARP 2000 series cap screws, which can support up to 1,500 horsepower. The pistons are 2618 forged aluminum from Manley's Platinum Series, complete with premium chrome moly wrist pins, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of high-performance operation.
