At the heart of this assembly is a lightweight 4340 forged steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and ability to reduce rotational mass. Paired with that are 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods, known for their robust design and reliability. These rods come with 3/8? ARP 8740 cap screws, or you can opt for ARP 2000 cap screws for even more security under high stress. The pistons are Manley's own Platinum Series, made from 2618 forged aluminum for excellent thermal stability and durability. They come with premium chrome moly wrist pins, high-performance piston rings, and Clevite 'H' Series rod bearings, which are narrowed for a precise fit. This combination of well-made components means your engine will be ready for more power and harder use.
Keep in mind that this assembly is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It's a comprehensive package for anyone serious about building a high-performance Ford 4.6L engine.
