It's designed for a 355 cubic inch displacement with a 3.480-inch stroke, featuring flat-top pistons with a -4cc dish. This setup is built to handle serious power, capable of supporting up to 750 horsepower with the included ARP 8740 cap screws, and an impressive 1,500 horsepower if you opt for the ARP 2000 cap screws.
At the heart of this assembly is a lightweight 4340 forged steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and reduced rotational mass. Paired with it are 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods, known for their robust construction. These rods come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, a popular choice for reliability in performance applications. The pistons are Manley's own 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series, complete with premium chrome moly wrist pins, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of high-RPM operation and significant cylinder pressures.
