Manley Performance has a solid reputation for making well-built engine components for demanding applications. This rotating assembly is designed for a Small Block Chevrolet (SBC) engine, building it out to a 383 cubic inch displacement with a 3.750 inch stroke. This increase in displacement is a common way to gain more power and torque from your SBC.
At the heart of this assembly is a lightweight 4340 forged steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and ability to handle higher RPMs. The connecting rods are also made from 4340 forged steel in an H-beam design, known for its rigidity. They come equipped with 7/16? ARP 8740 cap screws, a popular choice for reliability. If you're looking to push the limits, optional ARP 2000 cap screws are available for even greater strength. The pistons are 2618 forged aluminum from Manley's Platinum Series, paired with Premium Chrome Moly wrist pins. This combination is built to withstand significant stress.
This assembly is rated for up to 750 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740 cap screws, and can handle up to 1,500 horsepower when equipped with the optional ARP 2000 cap screws. Please note that this assembly is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It's important to check all manufacturer installation guidelines before beginning your engine build.
