This is a Manley Performance rotating assembly built for a Small Block Chevrolet (SBC) engine, specifically configured for a 383 cubic inch displacement with a 3.750-inch stroke and -4cc flat-top pistons. If you're rebuilding the heart of your classic muscle car or performance street machine, a well-built rotating assembly is the foundation for reliable power. This kit includes all the critical components that spin when your engine runs: the crankshaft, connecting rods, and pistons, all designed to work together as a balanced unit.

At the core of this assembly is a lightweight 4340 forged steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and ability to handle higher RPMs and increased cylinder pressures compared to cast iron. Paired with this are Manley's 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods. These rods are known for their solid construction and come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws, a popular choice for many performance builds. For those pushing the limits, there's an option to upgrade to ARP 2000 series cap screws, which can support significantly more horsepower.

The pistons are Manley's Platinum Series, made from 2618 forged aluminum. This material is favored for its strength and ability to withstand high temperatures and pressures, while the flat-top design with -4cc volume is ideal for achieving a specific compression ratio when paired with appropriate cylinder heads. Premium chrome moly wrist pins are included to connect the pistons to the rods, offering good durability for performance applications. This assembly is rated for up to 750 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740 bolts, and can handle up to 1,500 horsepower if you opt for the ARP 2000 series cap screws.
