This Manley rotating assembly gives you the core components for a robust 383 cubic inch Small Block Chevy engine build. You get a lightweight 4340 forged steel crankshaft, a set of 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods, and 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series pistons. This package is designed to handle serious power, with the included ARP 8740 cap screws on the rods supporting up to 750 horsepower, and an option for ARP 2000 cap screws that can handle up to 1,500 horsepower.

The crankshaft is forged from 4340 steel, which is known for its strength and durability, making it a solid foundation for a performance engine. The H-beam connecting rods are also made from 4340 forged steel, offering a strong and reliable link between the crankshaft and pistons. These rods come with 7/16? ARP 8740 cap screws, a popular choice for many performance builds. For those pushing the limits, an upgrade to ARP 2000 cap screws is available, providing even greater clamping force and reliability at higher RPMs and power levels.

The included 2618 forged aluminum pistons are part of Manley's Platinum Series, designed for high-performance applications. They come with premium chrome moly wrist pins, which are strong and durable enough for demanding use. The pistons have a -4cc flat top design, which will influence your final compression ratio depending on your cylinder head volume.
