They function just like regular lug bolts, but require a special key tool for installation and removal, making it much harder for thieves to take your wheels. The steel collar on the key helps guide it into the lock pattern and keeps it aligned for easier installation and removal. McGard uses computer-generated key designs with an infinite number of patterns, and the extra narrow groove on the lock resists removal tools.

These wheel locks are designed in the USA and manufactured in the EU and USA, with a plating process that includes multiple layers of nickel and a microporous chrome finish for a superior look and rust protection.
