This McLeod Soft Lok HCF clutch kit is built for serious drag racing performance, specifically for Chevrolet Small Block engines from 1955-1985 and Big Block engines of any balance from 1970-1990. It features an 11-inch diameter disc with a 1-3/16 inch, 18-spline input shaft and a 168-tooth flywheel. This assembly is a record holder in NHRA and IHRA, designed to handle the demands of competitive racing while offering a surprisingly light pedal effort and smooth engagement off the line.

The Soft Lok design focuses on getting you off the starting line harder with less tire spin. It achieves this through low static pressure, which contributes to that soft clutch engagement, but it has enough holding power to get you through the entire run. You can further tune its performance with adjustable spring pressure and optional counterweights, allowing you to dial in the clutch to your specific setup and driving style. This kit comes complete with an adjustable long-style pressure plate, a sintered iron disc using the 5135 compound for excellent friction, and a billet aluminum flywheel for reduced rotating mass.

It's important to note that this clutch assembly is not recommended for street use due to its aggressive racing characteristics.
