Starting with a robust 3.5-inch thick bar-and-plate core, this Mishimoto intercooler kit is built to handle the demands of a high-horsepower Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. When you're running increased boost pressures, the factory intercooler can struggle to keep intake air temperatures down, leading to heat soak and a loss of power. This kit is designed to directly replace the stock unit, providing a significant upgrade in cooling efficiency.

The cast aluminum end tanks are not only strong but also shaped to promote smooth, uninterrupted airflow into the core and out to the piping. This design helps minimize pressure loss, ensuring that the cool, dense air reaches your engine effectively.
