If you're pushing your turbocharged 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T or Civic Si, keeping charged air temperatures in check is crucial for consistent performance. The stock intercooler, with its tube-and-fin design and plastic end tanks, can struggle to keep up when you're running hard or have added a tune. This Mishimoto intercooler kit is built to handle the heat and unlock more power from your engine.

This kit features a substantial all-aluminum, bar-and-plate intercooler core that's 102-percent larger in volume and has 97-percent more fin surface area than the factory unit. This design is much more effective at shedding heat, leading to lower outlet air temperatures – often dropping by 20°F over stock, and even more with a performance tune. The kit also replaces the stock plastic and rubber piping with smooth, mandrel-bent aluminum pipes and durable, 5-layer silicone couplers. These pipes are larger, increasing from 42mm to 55mm on both the hot and cold sides, which is a 30-percent size increase. The reduced bend angles also help charged air flow more directly to the engine.

On a stock tune, this kit can add up to 4 horsepower and 8 ft-lbs of torque. With a performance tune, those gains can increase further. The kit is designed as a direct fit, meaning it bolts into the factory mounting locations, simplifying installation. The red silicone couplers give a nice visual pop under the hood, too.
