Mishimoto 2021+ BMW G8X M3/M4 Performance Intake Carbon Fiber Gloss

Solid 3K twill-woven carbon fiber makes up both airboxes in this Mishimoto performance intake system for the 2021-2025 BMW M2, M3, and M4 (G8X platform, S58B30 engine). The gloss carbon finish adds a clean look under the hood while the material itself resists heat soak from the engine bay, keeping incoming air cooler than the factory plastic setup.

Mishimoto's engineering team developed these airboxes using CAD modeling and flow bench testing. The results speak for themselves: intake restriction drops by 13 percent on the driver-side tract and 22.8 percent on the passenger-side tract compared to stock. Two additional cold-air entry ports open to the wheel wells, pulling cooler air from outside the engine compartment. The dual high-flow oiled air filters included in the kit provide more filter surface area and better airflow than the stock panel filters, and they are washable using Mishimoto's Filter Re-Oil Kit.

Beyond the airflow gains, this intake noticeably amplifies turbocharger spool and bypass valve venting sounds, which changes the character of the driving experience. The S58 twin-turbo inline-six is already responsive, and reducing restriction on both intake tracts sharpens throttle response further.

This is a complete bolt-on kit with all necessary components included for installation. Mishimoto covers this carbon fiber intake with their lifetime warranty. Note that this intake is not CARB-approved, so it is not street-legal in states that follow CARB emissions regulations. It is intended for track or off-road use in those jurisdictions.
