This Mishimoto Performance Intercooler for the 2024-2025 Ford Mustang EcoBoost features a robust bar-and-plate core with cast aluminum end tanks, capable of supporting up to 526 horsepower. It's designed to directly replace the factory unit, offering a significant upgrade in cooling efficiency without requiring a tune for basic gains. You can expect reduced intake air temperatures, which helps the engine perform more consistently, especially under load or in warmer conditions.

The core volume is a notable 60% larger than the stock intercooler, and the inlet and outlet diameters are increased to 63mm to allow for better airflow. Mishimoto also incorporated a diverter plate in the hot-side end tank to help distribute the air evenly across the entire core, maximizing its effectiveness. Even on the stock tune, this intercooler has shown gains of up to 12 horsepower and 11 ft-lbs of torque. Installation is straightforward, fitting with the stock ducting and intercooler pipes, and no cutting is necessary. Foam sealing strips are included to ensure all air passes through the core, and a custom bottom air deflector improves underbody airflow and helps reduce noise, vibration, and harshness.

To handle the increased weight and ensure stability, the intercooler mounts using four EPDM rubber sandwich mounts that attach directly to the subframe, isolating vibrations.
