If you're hitting the trails in your 1989-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ with the 4.0L engine, you know how hard your cooling system can work. The factory fan setup is driven by the engine, which means it pulls power and its airflow changes with engine speed. This Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Fan Shroud kit replaces that system with three high-flow 10-inch electric fans that keep air moving consistently, regardless of how fast your engine is spinning. This is especially important when you're crawling at low speeds or stopped, where the stock fan moves very little air.

This kit is built around a lightweight aluminum shroud that covers more of your radiator than the stock unit, ensuring more of the radiator surface benefits from the airflow. Each of the three included Mishimoto slim fans moves a steady 950 CFM, providing a significant improvement in airflow over the stock setup. Mishimoto testing showed up to 41.9% better airflow at idle and 22% better at 2,500 RPM compared to the stock fan shroud. The kit also includes an adjustable fan controller that you can set to turn the fans on anywhere between 150°F and 240°F, or you can wire them up to a manual switch if you prefer. The controller mounts directly to the shroud for a clean installation. For models from 1997-2001, an included A/C fan jumper harness ensures your air conditioning continues to function properly.

Installation is made straightforward with the included wiring harness, a push-in radiator probe temperature sensor, and an in-line NPT temperature sensor. This kit is designed to fit with both stock and Mishimoto radiators for your XJ.
