This product is a box of four NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs, part number 4709. These are designed as an OE equivalent replacement for your 2000-2001 Honda RVT1000R RC51. They feature a fine wire center electrode made from an iridium alloy, which has an extremely high melting point and offers durability six times harder than platinum. This construction helps ensure a stable spark and long life.
The pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator in these plugs provides strength and helps with heat transfer, while the trivalent metal plating on the exterior helps prevent corrosion and seizing. Most Laser Iridium plugs also include a platinum pad on the ground electrode, which helps them wear evenly in distributorless ignition systems.
