This strut is specifically tuned for the Mitsubishi Triton models from 2006 onward, offering an improved ride and better handling, especially when paired with Old Man Emu springs for a complete suspension system. Old Man Emu engineers focus on setting the most appropriate valving, which is where these Nitrochargers really stand out.

Built for the demands of 4x4 touring, the induction-hardened chrome piston rod is tough, and the heavy-gauge steel tube is notably more effective than standard tubing. Inside, a nitrogen gas charge helps manage temperature and oil flow, while a multi-deflective disc stacking system handles both rebound and compression. The strut also features a large, low-friction Teflon-infused bronze bushing for durability and a triple-lip oil seal to keep contaminants out, all contributing to extended shock life and resistance to fade.

This strut is designed to be a direct replacement, and while it improves performance with standard springs, the most significant benefits are realized when integrated into a full Old Man Emu suspension setup. The entire system is developed and tested in-house by Old Man Emu specialists.
