The Z36 pad compound is reinforced with carbon fiber for increased thermal stability during towing and hauling. When you are running heavy with a trailer, the front brakes absorb the majority of stopping force, so having a pad that resists fade at elevated temperatures matters. Drilled and slotted rotors vent heat and sweep debris from the friction surface. Including calipers in this kit eliminates the need to evaluate the old units; everything on the front axle is new.
