The QA1 5Q Series shock absorber uses a two-piece body construction, making it straightforward to disassemble and reassemble. This design, combined with a slip-fit compression tube, simplifies the rebuilding process, allowing racers to re-valve and service the shocks quickly with basic tools. The black-anodized closure nut is laser-engraved, clearly displaying serial numbers and valving information, which is helpful whether you're at the track or working in the shop. This shock is built with an upgraded seal kit to help minimize leaks, particularly in situations with high rebound. The gland design includes relief cuts and a hyper screw port, which makes filling and bleeding the shock during assembly a much easier task.
