When you are rebuilding the suspension on a 1967-1969 Camaro or Firebird, QA1's Level 2 Handling Kit replaces both the front and rear suspension in one comprehensive package. This is a full upgrade for GM F-body owners who want real handling improvements on both the street and the track, not just lowering springs bolted onto worn-out stock components.

Up front, lightweight tubular control arms paired with low-friction ball joints and polyurethane bushings improve geometry and reduce the flex that plagued the original suspension design. The adjustable coilovers give you up to 2 inches of front ride height adjustability, so dialing in the stance is a matter of turning a collar rather than swapping springs. Out back, a 4-link setup eliminates wheel hop, increases traction, and provides tunable handling characteristics. The rear coilovers offer -3 to +2 inches of adjustability, and the entire rear geometry shifts inward to create clearance for wider wheels and tires.

The included 9-inch rear housing is where this kit separates itself from lighter packages. The fabricated center section with 3-inch OD axle tubes and quarter-inch wall thickness supports up to 800HP, while the 31-spline axles are rated to 650HP. The housing comes with a factory wheel mounting width of 60 inches, Big Ford New Style Torino axle flanges with 2.5-inch offset, and a 5x4-3/4-inch bolt pattern. You will need a third member, as the housing ships without one.

Front and rear sway bars and subframe connectors come in the kit to reduce body roll through corners. Installation is mostly bolt-on, though the rear crossmember does require minimal MIG welding. Verify your wheel and tire fitment on the vehicle before finalizing your setup, and note that mini tubs may be needed for maximum tire width. Exhaust modifications may also be necessary.
