If you are building a classic Dart, Duster, Valiant, or early Barracuda and want to ditch the factory torsion bar front end, QA1's MOD Series front coilover conversion is a complete bolt-in system for 1967-1976 Mopar A-Body cars. No cutting or welding required.

The system centers around a tubular K-member that drops in where the factory piece sat. It weighs less than stock and opens up clearance for big-tube headers, a common consideration in these engine bays. Modular motor mounts accommodate a range of engines including Gen 3 Hemis. QA1 tubular control arms and rack-and-pinion steering replace the original components, giving you modern steering response compared to the factory setup.

The MOD Series shocks use modular valve packs that you can swap without removing the shock from the car, without losing oil, and without disturbing the nitrogen charge. That means you can dramatically alter valving between a drag event and a road course weekend in minutes. This is the handling configuration with a 400 lb/in spring rate and poly bushings on the lower control arms for improved cornering with reduced noise and vibration. Drop range is 2 to 4 inches.

The kit uses Mustang II spindles for broad aftermarket brake compatibility. Note that the 2-to-4-inch drop requires at least 18-inch wheels, and you should check brake-to-wheel backspacing with your brake manufacturer. Gen 3 Hemi power steering pumps need a pressure reducer and a power steering cooler. Also important: the coilovers and control arms in this kit cannot be used with other QA1 tubular products designed for torsion bar suspension. Made in the USA.
