QA1 79-86 Ford Mustang Level 2 Drag Kit w/ Shocks

For Fox Body Mustang owners building a dedicated drag car or a street-strip setup, QA1's Level 2 Drag Kit packages the essential suspension components into a single, matched system. This version fits 1979-1986 models and retains the factory narrow track width.

Up front, a tubular K-member replaces the factory piece at just 25 pounds, cutting about 50% of the stock weight while freeing up engine bay space. Interchangeable engine mounts, sold separately, accommodate factory engines as well as popular swaps including Coyote motors. Inverted front struts use a large-diameter shaft and lightweight aluminum body, paired with high-travel springs at rates optimized for weight transfer to improve 60-foot times and elapsed times. You get up to 2 inches of ride height drop from stock to dial in the stance. Aluminum caster camber plates let you fine-tune suspension geometry for straight-line stability.

Out back, double-adjustable rear coilovers replace the factory setup, giving you independent compression and rebound control for fine-tuning the rear suspension. Drag race control arms and boxed trailing arms eliminate the flexing and bushing bind that cause inconsistent launches with factory components, resulting in smoother suspension movement and straighter runs. A rear sway bar is also included.

The entire kit is bolt-in with no welding required, and it is made in the USA. Engine mounts are not included and are sold separately. This kit is not compatible with Cobra IRS.
