QA1 87-89 Ford Mustang Level 2 Drag Kit w/ Shocks

QA1's Level 2 Drag Kit for the 1987-1989 Fox Body Mustang is the wide stance version, matching the factory track width of V8-equipped cars from these model years. It is a purpose-built drag racing suspension system that replaces the front subframe, all four shocks/struts, the control arms, and the trailing arms in a single bolt-in package.

The tubular K-member weighs just 25 pounds, cutting roughly 50% of stock weight from the front of the car. Less rotating and unsprung mass up front helps with weight transfer at launch. Inverted front struts use a large-diameter shaft and lightweight aluminum body. The spring rates are set specifically for drag use, optimizing weight transfer to improve 60-foot times. Aluminum caster camber plates let you dial in straight-line suspension geometry, and you have up to 2 inches of drop available from stock ride height.

In the rear, double-adjustable coilovers give you independent compression and rebound control. Drag race control arms and boxed trailing arms replace the factory components to eliminate flex and bushing bind, which translates to smoother suspension movement and straighter, more consistent launches. A rear sway bar rounds out the package.

Engine mounts are sold separately, with options for factory and swap engines including Coyote. The entire system is bolt-in and made in the USA. Not compatible with Cobra IRS.
