This is a QA1 A Series Endura Rod End, a male rod end with a red aluminum body. It's designed to save weight in performance applications, making it a good choice when every ounce counts. The rod end features a Nylon/PTFE injection molded race that is self-sealing and self-lubricating, which helps keep dirt and debris out of the joint.
Compared to traditional three-piece aluminum rod ends, this AM Series rod end is over 10% lighter. It's also built with an increased cross-sectional thickness for greater tensile strength and has metal-to-metal support for heavy shock loads. The ball is made from heat-treated, hard chrome-plated 52100 bearing steel that's precision ground for accuracy.
