If you own a 1968-1970 Dodge Charger, Coronet, Plymouth Road Runner, GTX, Satellite, or Belvedere, QA1's Level 2 Handling Kit converts the entire suspension from old leaf springs and stock geometry to a modern coilover and 4-link setup. This is a complete front-and-rear replacement that changes how a B-body Mopar drives, both on the street and at the track.
Up front, the tubular K-member replaces the heavy factory crossmember, cutting weight and opening room for long tube headers. Modular motor mounts make engine swaps straightforward, including Gen 3 Hemi conversions. The tubular control arms and rack-and-pinion steering give you direct, responsive handling that the original recirculating ball system simply cannot match. The front suspension bolts in with no cutting or welding, keeping the job manageable for a well-equipped home shop.
Out back, the triangulated 4-link replaces the leaf springs and provides a more planted, predictable feel. The included QA1 Proma Star double adjustable coilover shocks allow you to tune ride height from 0 to 2 inches of drop and adjust compression and rebound for anything from casual cruising to aggressive road course driving. Correcting the wheelbase makes room for wider wheels and tires, which is a common goal on these classic muscle cars.
The kit works with 8-3/4-inch, Ford 9-inch, and Dana 60 rear axles. All tubular components come powder-coated, and installation hardware is included. Front and rear sway bars reduce body roll during cornering. Rear installation requires a small amount of cutting and welding on the frame and axle housing, and this kit works with factory-located or modified inboard-located leaf spring mounts. Kits use Mustang II-style spindles for a wide range of brake options. Motor mounts are sold separately. Made in the USA with shocks eligible for a limited lifetime warranty.
