QAP Susp. Conversion System

Classic Mopar B-bodies from 1962-1965 are incredible cars held back by dated suspension. This QA1 Level 2 Handling Kit replaces the front and rear suspension with a modern coilover system that changes how these cars drive.

Front Suspension

A tubular K-member replaces the heavy factory unit, shedding weight and opening up room for long tube headers. Modular motor mounts make engine swaps straightforward -- including Gen 3 Hemis. Tubular control arms and rack-and-pinion steering replace the sluggish factory setup, giving you a modern feel with real feedback through the wheel. The front suspension bolts in without any cutting or welding.

Rear Suspension

The triangulated 4-link rear suspension replaces the factory leaf springs for a more planted feel on the street and track. This design also corrects the wheelbase, making room for larger wheels and tires. A small amount of cutting and welding on the frame and axle housing is required for rear installation. The kit works with factory-located leaf spring mounts or modified inboard-located mounts.

Ride Height and Tuning

QA1 Proma Star double-adjustable coilover shocks handle both ride height and damping adjustments. You get 2-4 inches of drop and the adjustability to tune for street comfort or autocross and road racing performance. Front and rear sway bars reduce body roll during hard launches and cornering.

Compatibility

• Works with 8-3/4-inch, Ford 9-inch, and Dana 60 rear axles

• Requires wheels 18 inches or larger in diameter

• Uses Mustang II-style spindles for a wide range of brake options

• Motor mounts sold separately

• Gen 3 Hemi power steering pumps require a pressure reducer and power steering cooler

All tubular components come powder-coated with complete installation hardware. Made in the USA. Shocks are eligible for a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
