QAP Susp. Conversion System

Mopar E-bodies from 1970-1974 are among the most sought-after muscle cars ever built. This QA1 Level 2 Handling Kit gives your Dodge Challenger or Plymouth Barracuda the suspension it needs to match its looks and power.

Front Suspension

A tubular K-member drops in to replace the heavy factory piece, cutting weight and clearing long tube headers. Modular motor mounts accommodate engine swaps, including Gen 3 Hemis. Tubular control arms and rack-and-pinion steering transform the front end from vague and floaty to direct and responsive. Everything up front bolts in without cutting or welding.

Rear Suspension

Out back, a triangulated 4-link replaces the factory leaf springs. This setup plants the rear tires more consistently on the street and at the track while correcting the wheelbase to make room for larger wheels and tires. Rear installation requires a small amount of cutting and welding on the frame and axle housing. The kit works with factory-located or modified inboard-located leaf spring mounts.

Ride Height and Damping

QA1 Proma Star double-adjustable coilovers front and rear give you 2-4 inches of drop and full control over ride quality and handling characteristics. Front and rear sway bars keep body roll in check during hard cornering and launches.

Compatibility Notes

• Works with 8-3/4-inch, Ford 9-inch, and Dana 60 rear axles

• Requires 18-inch or larger diameter wheels

• Mustang II-style spindles for broad brake compatibility

• Gen 3 Hemi power steering pumps need a pressure reducer and cooler
