The outer sheathing is made from black PVC, which is chosen for its flexibility and ability to hold up over time, even when exposed to the elements. Inside, the inner wire is pre-stretched and then flared out before the terminal end, then cast in place. This construction method helps prevent the wire from pulling out of the terminal, giving you a more reliable connection. The molded-rubber components, including the boots, use EPDM rubber.
