When you're working on the rear suspension of your 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra, this Rancho RS5000X shock absorber is what you get in the box. It's built to help your truck handle better, whether you're on the pavement or heading off-road.

Rancho put some thought into how these shocks work. They feature a large, 35mm sintered iron piston and a 16mm nitro-carburized rod that's tough against scuffs and corrosion. Inside, an exclusive valving system and a compression control valve are custom-tuned for the Tundra to manage fluid transfer and absorb impacts smoothly. This setup helps reduce that initial jarring feeling at low speeds and keeps the damping consistent, even when things get hot, thanks to the all-weather fluid in the large twin-tube body. It's pressurized with nitrogen gas to 150 PSI, which helps prevent the oil and gas from mixing, reducing fade and keeping performance steady.

You'll also find a polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings that help soak up road harshness for a more comfortable ride. The double-welded loops at stress points add to its solid build, and it comes with a protective polyvinyl boot.
