Rancho 02-06 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Front RS5000X Shock

With this Rancho RS5000X shock absorber, you get one front shock absorber designed to improve your vehicle's handling both on and off the pavement. This shock is built to fit a range of popular trucks and SUVs, including models like the Chevrolet Avalanche 1500, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500.

Rancho uses a unique valving system and an advanced compression setup to give you better control. The shock features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod that resists scuffs and corrosion, plus double-welded loops at stress points for added strength. Inside, a 35mm sintered iron piston and a fluon-banded piston work together to respond quickly to changing road conditions, while the large twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid that keeps things cool and allows the shock to operate smoothly in temperatures from -40 to 248°F. A nitrogen gas charge of 150 PSI helps prevent the oil and gas from mixing, which reduces damping performance fade.

This shock also includes a polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings to help absorb impacts and smooth out the ride. The Compression Control Valve is custom-tuned for each specific vehicle application to manage fluid transfer and maintain shock motion control without disc flutter, helping to minimize rough impacts at low speeds.
