This shock absorber features a large, twin-tube body filled with fluid that can handle extreme temperatures, from -40 to 248°F, which helps keep it operating cooler and maintains consistent performance. The 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod is tough, resisting scuffs and corrosion, while the 35mm sintered iron piston adds structural strength. Rancho uses a unique valving system, called Progressive Engagement Valving, which is tuned specifically for your Colorado to help smooth out initial impacts at lower speeds and reduce a rough ride. The fluon-banded piston also helps it respond better to changing road conditions for a smoother feel.

You'll find double-welded loops at stress points for added durability, and a protective boot to keep road debris away from the rod. The nitrogen gas pressurization to 150 PSI helps prevent the oil and gas from mixing, which reduces damping performance fade and foaming during hard use.
