The Rancho RS5000X shock absorber features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod, a design choice that helps resist scuffs and corrosion, keeping the rod surface smooth for consistent performance over time. This shock is built for your 2005-2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty, aiming to improve both your on- and off-road driving experience.

Inside, a large twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid, allowing it to operate cooler and handle extreme temperatures from -40 to 248°F. This helps reduce damping performance fade and foaming, even under tough conditions. The shock also uses a Progressive Engagement Valving system, custom-tuned for your truck, which helps absorb initial impacts at low speeds for a smoother ride. A low-friction seal retains gas and oil, contributing to quicker rebound and smoother compression.
