Rancho 07-17 Jeep Wrangler Front RS5000X Shock

When you're working on the front suspension of your 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler, you'll get one Rancho RS5000X shock absorber in this package. This shock is built to handle both your daily driving and your off-road adventures, offering an improved balance of on- and off-road performance thanks to its unique valving system and advanced compression features.

Rancho uses a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod that's tough against scuffs and corrosion, and the loops where the shock mounts are double-welded for extra strength in high-stress areas. Inside, a 35mm sintered iron piston adds structural integrity. The large twin-tube body is filled with fluid that can handle extreme temperatures, from -40 to 248°F, helping keep things cool and maintaining vehicle control. A fluon-banded piston also helps the shock respond quickly to changing road conditions, contributing to a smoother ride.

This shock absorber is designed to help maintain control of your vehicle. Its custom-tuned Compression Control Valve manages fluid transfer to absorb impacts without causing flutter, and the Progressive Engagement Valving helps reduce initial impacts at lower speeds for a less jarring ride. The nitrogen gas pressurization to 150 PSI helps prevent the oil and gas from mixing, which reduces damping performance fade and foaming during heavy use.
