Rancho 17-19 Ford Pickup / F450 Series Super Duty Rear RS5000X Shock

Rancho is well-known for its suspension components, and the RS5000X shock absorber is built to handle both daily driving and tougher conditions. This rear shock is specifically tuned for the 2017-2019 Ford F-450 Super Duty, aiming to give you a more controlled ride whether you're on the highway or exploring off the beaten path.

Inside, you'll find a large 35mm sintered iron piston and a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod, which helps resist scuffs and corrosion, keeping the shock working smoothly. The twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid, allowing it to operate effectively in temperatures from -40 to 248°F, and the nitrogen gas charge at 150 PSI helps prevent the fluid from foaming and losing its damping ability during hard use. Rancho's Progressive Engagement Valving is custom-tuned for the F-450 to reduce initial impacts at low speeds, making for a less jarring ride.

This shock also features a low-friction seal to keep the gas and oil contained, ensuring quicker rebound and smoother compression. The application-specific piston and Cross Tuned technology work together to improve overall handling and maintain control by absorbing impacts without excessive fluid flutter.
