This Rancho RS5000X shock absorber features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod, a material choice that helps resist scuffs and corrosion, making it a strong option for a wide range of trucks and SUVs like the Chevrolet Astro, GMC Safari, and Chevrolet K1500. It's designed to handle both on- and off-road conditions, aiming to improve your vehicle's overall handling and performance.

Inside, you'll find a large twin-tube body filled with all-weather fluid that allows for cooler operation, even in extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F. This helps maintain consistent damping performance and vehicle control. The shock also uses a custom-tuned Compression Control Valve to manage fluid transfer and absorb impacts effectively, while a fluon-banded piston enhances responsiveness to changing road surfaces for a smoother ride. Double-welded loops at stress areas and a 35mm sintered iron piston add to its structural integrity.

For added comfort, it includes a polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings to absorb ride harshness.
