Rancho built this shock to handle tough conditions. It features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod that resists scuffs and corrosion, plus double-welded loops for extra strength where it counts. The large twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid, which helps keep the shock running cooler and allows it to handle extreme temperatures from -40 to 248°F. Inside, a fluon-banded piston and a custom-tuned Compression Control Valve work together to absorb impacts smoothly and maintain control of the suspension's motion without causing flutter.

You'll notice an improved ride thanks to the polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings that soak up harshness. The Progressive Engagement Valving is specifically tuned for your Grand Cherokee to reduce initial impacts at lower speeds, making for a more comfortable experience.
