The 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod on this Rancho RS5000X shock absorber is built to resist scuffs and corrosion, giving you a solid foundation for improved on- and off-road handling for your 1997-2003 Ford F-150, 1997-2002 Expedition, 2004 F-150 Heritage, or 1997-1999 F-250. This shock absorber uses an exclusive valving system and advanced compression functionality to help manage fluid transfer and absorb impacts effectively, preventing disc flutter and maintaining better control of your vehicle's motion. The large twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid, allowing it to operate cooler and handle extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F, which helps reduce damping performance fade and foaming.
