Ridetech 73-79 Ford F-100 2WD HQ Coilover System w/ Hub Spindles

Ridetech's HQ Coilover System for the 1973-1979 Ford F-100 and 1975-1979 F-150 2WD is the mechanical-spring counterpart to their air ride kit. Same front suspension, same hub spindles, same 4-link rear, but with coilovers instead of Shockwaves. If you want the handling and stance improvements without plumbing an air system, this is the simpler route.

Hub spindles with modern hubs are the core of the front suspension, giving you a path to bolt on current-generation brake packages. The front suspension system replaces the factory geometry with corrected components, and the HQ coilovers at all four corners provide adjustable ride height and tunable damping. Turn the collar with a spanner wrench to set your ride height, and it stays there without a compressor keeping it inflated.

The bolt-on 4-link out back replaces the leaf springs, eliminating lateral axle movement and giving the rear coilovers a stable platform to work against. This is a meaningful improvement for a truck that will see varied loads, because the 4-link keeps the axle centered regardless of what you have in the bed.
