If you're building a custom suspension system or fabricating your own control arms, you need a rod end that can handle serious articulation. The RockJock Johnny Joint rod end is designed for fabricators who need more movement and better cushioning than a standard heim joint can offer. It allows for a full 30 degrees of unrestricted movement in any direction, which is a notable increase over the typical 22 degrees you get from a heim joint.

This joint is well-built with a forged construction and features high-density urethane bushings that surround the heat-treated center ball. This design not only provides that extra cushioning but also helps to retain the internals with heavy-duty, heat-treated side washers and a snap ring. The center ball is cross-drilled for lubrication, and this particular unit has a zerk fitting on the outside for easy external greasing. The shank offers 1 in.-14 right-hand threads for a secure connection, and the ball itself measures 2.465 inches wide with a 0.625-inch thru-bolt hole.

This rod end is finished in a gold zinc plating for a solid look. Remember that the bolt for the thru-bolt hole is not included, so you'll need to source that separately to complete your installation.
